Cobb Apartment Shootout Leads To 3 Arrests

SMYRNA, GA — One man was shot and three are under arrest after an attempted armed robbery lead to a shootout Saturday at an apartment complex in the Vinings area.

Cobb County Police officers were called at about 5:20 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery at Westhaven Apartments, at 3100 Paces Station Ridge. Investigators say two men with handguns entered an apartment there and robbed Juan Dolcine, 28, of Miami, Fla., and two other victims.

During the robbery, the two unidentified victims began shooting at the robbers. The robbers returned fire before leaving the scene, police said. A third robber was waiting outside as a getaway driver, police say.

Police found the vehicle they were in near Mableton Parkway and arrested all three suspects — Bobby Pierre-Louis, 33, Jean Therezie, 29, and Cory Saintit, 32, all of Miami. All three are charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Two of them were taken to jail while the third, who had been shot during the robbery, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said.

Three uninvolved vehicles were damaged by gunfire during the shootout, police said, and two more were damaged by the alleged robbers’ vehicle as they were leaving the scene. One nearby apartment also was damaged by gunfire.
